Maureen Kirkman is an independent consultant to the pharmaceutical industry based in South Africa. Ms Kirkman previously worked at the Pharmaceutical Industry Association of South Africa, as head of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs, with responsibility for scientific, technical, regulatory, clinical, health outcomes and marketing issues affecting the pharmaceutical industry. She joined the association in 1997, when it was known as the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association. Ms Kirkman was also a member of various industry bodies, committees and working groups, both domestic and international, including PIASA’s Science and Technology Committee and the IFPMA’s Code Compliance Network. She retired from PIASA at the end of 2008.
