Sabih R Kukhun
Sabih R Kukhun is the owner and general manager of Al-Sahl Drugstore in Amman, Jordan. Dr Kukhun graduated from the School of Pharmacy at the American University of Beirut in 1963, and joined Bristol Myers in 1965, where he held different titles, ranging from medical rep in Kuwait for the ethical pharmaceutical products to general manager in Amman, handling the total business of Bristol Myers, which included consumer products for the first time. Following the merger with Squibb in 1987, he relocated to Brussels as a regulatory affairs and business development director for the new Bristol-Myers Squib Company, and later was promoted to senior director, regulatory affairs and business development for the Middle East office established in Cairo in 1989. During the period 1987-1998, Dr Kukhun was elected secretary for the Middle East Regulatory Affairs Manufacturers Association for a two-year term, and then served as chairman of the committee for two two-year terms. During that assignment, he participated in many regulatory affairs seminars, conferences and forums, the last of which was in London in Dec 1997.
