Dr Peter Charlish

Dr Peter Charlish
Peter focuses on drug discovery and product development, including clinical trials, and regulatory affairs, with knowledge extending across pharma, medical devices and diagnostics.

He trained as a pharmacologist at the University of Liverpool and completed his PhD at the University of Birmingham. He worked at Derwent for a number of years before deciding to pursue a career in pharmaceutical journalism.

Peter learnt his trade covering product-related issues for Scrip Intelligence, before moving on to edit sister publication, Regulatory Affairs Pharma. He was subsequently involved in the production of a wide variety of reports, supplements and user guides, and has written for a range of other newsletters on topics ranging from animal health to scientific instrumentation. However, he has always returned to his main interest of writing about the healthcare industry.


Ian Schofield Ian Schofield
Ian Schofield writes on a wide range of issues affecting the pharmaceutical and biotech industry, with a focus on EU regulatory, political, legal and scientific affairs. He also covers specialist areas such as advanced therapies, paediatrics, generics, orphans, counterfeits and pandemic flu.

Having graduated in modern languages at the University of Bath in the late 1970s, he spent several years travelling in Europe, teaching English in Italy and working in the European travel industry.

He became a journalist in 1985 when he joined Scrip Intelligence as a reporter, covering the French and Italian markets, later becoming Deputy European editor with responsibility for co-ordinating Scrip's coverage of regulatory affairs of EU and national level.

He subsequently became the newsletter's Deputy Editor, a post he held until 2005, when he took on the role of Consultant Editor and more recently a Principal Analyst to a number of Informa publications including Regulatory Affairs Pharma, Scrip and its sister publication Scrip Clinical Research.

Phil Greenfield

Phil Greenfield
Phil has many years of experience in editorial, market research and publishing in the healthcare sector. His primary focus is science, technology and business across medtech and pharma.

Phil has held a number of editorial positions at Clinica Medtech Intelligence, Instrumenta and Genomika and Head of the Scrip and Clinica Reports business before becoming Publisher for Medtech and regulatory news services.

He has a degree in engineering and his specialist areas include applications of IT in healthcare, enabling technologies, biomaterials, drug/device/diagnostic combinations, advanced therapy products, manufacturing science and company/financial analysis.

Ashley Yeo

Ashley Yeo
Ashley has a wealth experience of the medical technology and healthcare sectors, focusing on healthcare and trade policy, business and financial performance and regulatory affairs. He was editor of Clinica Medtech Intelligence for nine years until April 2009.

He is also knowledgeable about veterinary and crop protection issues, having once held the editorship of Animal Pharm, and been assistant editor at Agrow, which are both publications of the Informa group.

A member of the Institute of Linguists, he speaks French, German, Spanish and has a knowledge of Dutch. He studied business management at college from 1979-82.
