China streamlines device regulatory process

The Chinese government has announced that responsibilities relating to product recalls will be retained by the health ministry and the State Food and Drug Administration, US industry association, AdvaMed, reports1.

The announcement, which came out of a meeting of the US-China Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade in Hangzhou during the last week of October, seeks to avoid duplicative or redundant product recall regulations...
