A group of medical technology industry associations has become a formalised organisation that aims to ensure the industry’s views are reflected at the global level, among other objectives. The Global Medical Technology Alliance – formerly the Global Medical Technology Network1 – met in May at the 2010 International Medical Device Industry Compliance Conference in Berlin, Germany, where it formally ratified its governance framework and finalised the first official list of its members under the new GMTA organisation
