Please give details of the national acts, laws and directives which govern trademarks in the US?

In the US, at the federal level, trademark law is outlined under Title 15 of the United States Code, as amended by Public Law No 105-330, October 1998.

Nationwide protection is granted to a trademark registered under the federal trademark statute, the Lanham Act of 1946 (sometimes referred to as the Trademark Act of 1946), as amended, under s 1115 of the Act (the Lanham Act is codified in Title 15 §§ 1051-1127 of the US Code)...
